H-2B Work Visa - Landscapers and other Non-agricultural Workers

The H-2B Temporary Non-Agricultural Work Visa is appropriate for:

  1. foreign nationals coming temporarily to the United States to perform nonagricultural work of a temporary or seasonal nature, in an area where there are not sufficient workers who are able, willing, qualified, and available at the time of the application for a visa and also at the time of admission of the foreign national into the United States. The H-2B classification is not appropriate and does not apply to graduates of medical schools coming to the United States to perform services as members of the medical profession. The H-2B classification requires a temporary labor certification issued by the U.S. Secretary of Labor or the Governor of Guam prior to the filing of an H-2B petition.
